  • Archconfraternity of Oration and Death

    - The pectoral medallion of the Confraternity was obtained from a design of 1784 and that in synthesis

    depicts:

    - the Crown symbolizes the ROYAL title that Ferdinand IV King of Naples granted to

    Brotherhood; in 1769. The title of ARCICONFRATERNITA had been recognized in 1679;

    - the bones symbolize DEATH, the hourglasses the brevity of life;

    - the Cross symbolizes ORATION, prayer;

    - the three mountains symbolize our brotherly spirit: FAITH, HOPE, CHARITY ..
