Brief description of the work and of the author's profile: The very light celestial-ivory planet is in ermosino silk with moiré bottom and coeval lining, also in satin and in a light blue color. The chevron is formed by the very original light blue and ivory bows trimming that runs through all the construction margins of the various parts of the planet. It was the decoration of the female dress of the lady from Catanzaro who, with part of the fabric, formed the sacred vestment obtained precisely from the so-called canduscia, the ancient train. Female clothes no longer used this element in the 19th century, from which, with its removal and collection, various priestly vestments were made by the nuns of the city convents. Thanks to this reuse, the conservation of textile products in Catanzaro silk has been implemented. The design is characterized by ribbons with curved and sinuosidal shapes with ivory shoots and foliage that run along the length of the fabric. Among the forms there are bouquets of flowers that recall the love for the presence of the rose, the peony, and forget-me-not. In addition, the carnation is also depicted.
