Brief description of the work and author profile: Oil painting depicting the Martyrdom of St. Peter of Verona, copy of the painting by Mattia Preti in the church of San Domenico in Taverna (CZ). St. Peter of Verona is the first Dominican martyr and is depicted having just signed his Creed with his own blood, immediately after being shot to death. The copy is very faithful and of a high technical level:
