Brief description of the work and of the author's profile: Statue in the round in white marble, it represents the Madonna standing with the book of the holy scriptures in her hand and the blessing Child in her arms. The statue is embellished by the black coloring of the book cover  and from the pure gold in the thickness of the book itself and in the chevron of the mantle decorated in relief. The work is considered one of the most successful of Cassano if not his masterpiece.
