The Blessed Virgin of Sorrows dates back to the 18th century and is carved from a block of wood. The Madonna is depicted with a dress painted in pure gold, on which several flowers stand out, and is partly covered with a blue cloak. On the occasion of Good Friday it is covered with a mantle of black satin and silk, decorated with stars embroidered in gold and edged with floral motifs also in gold.
The Addolorata is also crowned with a diadem made of silver intertwined brambles and finally a silver stiletto is stuck in her chest.
